Taiwan Straits 1958 need help

I am looking for someone who knew Bob Jandron from VS23 while aboard the USS Princeton during the 1958 Taiwan Straits incident.

The Navy is stating that he was not there put in fact he was.  His name is on the ships roster and also his picture.  Both the ships roster and photos are in the Far East Cruise book of 1958.  What I am trying to do is get him his well deserved Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.

I can give you the e-mail of J L Kems, who was also in VS23 at that time. I don’t know what
Bob Jandron did while in VS-23 but J L might have known him.

Here is his e-mail and phone number:

I’ve known him since my first Princeton Reunion, and still don’t know his real first name.
He seems happy to go by J L . He and his wife are ‘nice people’.

Since I was aboard, I would like to know more about the Expeditionary Medal. I may also be eligible for it.

Thanks & good luck with your project on behalf of Bob Jandron.
