Aloha!  I’m hoping to find shipmates of my uncle, LTJG Harvey N. Kitaoka, who flew his Panther F9-F5 with the VF-154 squadron during 1953.  My uncle Harvey was the first Navy jet fighter pilot of Japanese ancestry in US history.  I would be so happy to hear from anyone who happened to come into contact with Harvey during his time on-board the USS Princeton.  I’m trying to put together a story that will serve to honor his memory and I would welcome any first-hand remembrances you may have of my uncle – good or bad!  Please let me know how I can get in touch with you.
