About: JOE SILVEIRA

My name is Joe Silveira and I was born and lived for 21 months on the Island of Flores in the Azore Islands. Live in Richmond, Ca until I enter the Navy in 1967. My first ship was the USS Ogden LPD 5. Second ship (until decommissioned) was the Princeton. Final 11months I was assigned to the Naval base at Naha, Okinawa. Married to my wife for 43 years. One son and two (twins) grandsons. Retired Inv. Control Supv. for AC Transit. Live in Hercules, CA for 33 years. Love to camp and travel. Enjoyed my 13 months (10 months in Master at Arms Div.) on the Princeton.
